Gillian Ashcroft at
RootNotes offers a range of music groups and activities for all ages and abilities. There is a focus on learning and playing folk music as a band plus options for singing, song-writing and creative music-making. Instruments are provided for some sessions.
SMART Play members learn orchestral instruments and play as part of an ensemble. A selection of brass, woodwind and string instruments available with highly qualified sectional tuition. Vocal lessons also available.
Ukulele Orchestra of North Devon
The Ukulele Orchestra of North Devon is an ALL AGE, ALL ABILITY ukulele club and occasional performance group. Ideally you'll have your own ukulele but there are a few available to borrow (ask in advance).

Devon County Junior Choirs
The Devon County Junior Choirs are for any children from Years 3 to 8 who are enthusiastic about singing and wish to enhance their singing technique and perform regularly. It is not necessary for any child to have previous experience of singing in a choir - the most important things are enthusiasm and the ability to sing in tune. Schola Exe offers further tuition and experience for girls aged 13–18 and boys with unchanged voices.

Devon County Youth Brass Band gives young brass and percussion players from across Devon the opportunity to learn and perform traditional and contemporary brass band music with people of their own age – regular gathering days, performance opportunities and residential courses.
