I have a 2.1 BMus (hons) degree from the University of Surrey and a PGDip in Performance from Trinity College of Music in London. After graduating, I taught as a peripatetic teacher for 12 years in Kent while working as a freelance musician playing for orchestras and choral societies and performing chamber music around the South East. I tutored for the Kent Youth Wind Orchestra and ran several woodwind groups at the Medway Towns Music Centre. Since moving to Devon, I have taught in the primary classroom (I also have a PGCE from Canterbury Christ Church University) alongside peripatetic teaching but am now just doing peripatetic instrumental teaching in North Devon.
