Claire Hindle

I studied for my BA Hons music degree at Dartington College of Arts in the 1980’s . I then went on to study flute performance with Sebastian Bell at the Royal College of Music. I then started my career as a freelance musician, playing in many different orchestral ensembles , at home and abroad. I have been teaching for over 35 years , and I worked for Devon County Council in the 1990’s until 2004 , as a peripatetic woodwind teacher in schools all over Devon . In that time I specialised in conducting, and I directed the County Flute Choir . We enjoyed many successful concert tours in France , Belgium, Germany and Switzerland. Since 2004 I have successfully built up a private teaching and consultancy service in schools , and in private homes in and around Torbay . I am also a director of the flute choir at Torbay music centre .
