Anna Davis

I offer individual violin lessons for adult learners, and also direct the Exeter String Ensemble, a string orchestra for adult learners of violin, viola, cello and double bass. Some of my students learned the violin as children and wanted to start playing again; others had never played before. Complete beginners are very welcome! I have been teaching in Devon since 2010. I have an ABRSM Diploma (with Distinction) in violin teaching and a PGCE in music education. My teaching style is friendly and encouraging, and I aim to help my students develop a good technique, as well as a love of learning and playing. I teach mainly across the classical and folk traditions, but I am very happy to help you explore any genre of music you would like. Some of my students choose to take graded examinations; others simply learn for pleasure. I play violin in the Devon Philharmonic Orchestra and the Lyric Chamber Orchestra, and I am a member of the European String Teachers Association.
