Devon Youth Choir is aimed at young singers aged 11-18 from across Devon, Plymouth, and Torbay. Led by expert vocal practitioners, Anthony Chamberlain and Hannah Stephenson, and supported by Devon Music Education Hub, the choir provides high‑quality training, exciting performance opportunities, and a welcoming community for young people who love to sing.

Rehearsals
Monthly rehearsals take place on Saturdays from 10am-4pm at Exeter School (please note the area of the schools in which we will be based) with high-profile performances throughout the year. Occasionally, Devon Youth Choir also enjoy residential courses during school holidays and overseas concert tours. Come along to a free trial session where you will join in with the rehearsal and have an informal audition.

Get involved
Come along to a free trial session where you can join in with a rehearsal and enjoy a friendly, informal audition with one of our expert vocal practitioners. There’s no pressure to prepare anything specific and no need for formal qualifications—just bring your enthusiasm for singing!
While we don’t set a strict minimum standard, we do look for singers who can hold a tune confidently and have a basic awareness of musical notation, helping everyone to ensure we get the most out of the music we explore together.

These tools make it easy to practise your part at home, go over anything tricky, and come to rehearsals feeling confident. You can sing along with your voice part, try the full mix, or just check your notes when you need to.
