Devon Inclusive Music Conference: Responding to Need in Music Education
Teachers, music educators, and practitioners are invited to join us for a focused and thought‑provoking day exploring how music education can better respond to the diverse needs of children and young people. This conference invites you to reflect, challenge assumptions, and develop inclusive approaches to music-making that make a meaningful difference in school and out-of-school contexts. A day for rethinking inclusion, strengthening practice, and ensuring music education works for every young person – all delegates will:
- Explore barriers to participation in music education and practical ways to remove them, across school, hub, and community contexts.
- Centre the needs and voices of children and young people, using lived experience to inform inclusive practice and decision‑making.
- Take away practical, adaptable strategies for designing accessible, meaningful music learning that can be applied immediately.
Cost
£65 per delegate with a limited number of fully funded places for self-employed individuals.
